USAFE la più potente forza aera in Europa

Vediamo spesso,noi del nord-est,gli F-16 americani e relativi trasporti e cisterne diretti o provenienti dalla base di AVIANO.  E' credenza diffusa che la base americana sia il centro di tutto,come faceva intendere certa stampa generalista che durante le operazioni nell'ex jugoslavia titolava "Aviano la portaerei di terra più grande d'europa"  . In realtà è parte integrante di un comando superiore che si chiamava USAFE  sino a qualche anno fa e che ora invece si chiama USAFE-AFAFRICA . Il comand
